Owners cultivate their own coffee trees and follow the journey through harvest and roasting. We are working with a Hachioji City Council member (agriculture committee) to grow Hachioji coffee into a regional brand. Currently four pilot owners are participating; new members are welcome.

Both full-time and contract arrangements are possible; remote-first is fine (only primary-industry roles require on-site presence near Hachioji). Jimolab is preparing a sister SaaS, lookupai (lookupai.jp), launching from August 2026, which optimises corporate sites for GEO/AEO (Generative / Answer Engine Optimization) and measures how often each property is referenced by major generative-AI engines.

Hachioji is roughly 45 minutes from Tokyo Station on the Chuo Line and ~30 minutes by limited express from Shinjuku, while rents and land prices are one-third to one-half of central Tokyo, making farmland and warehouses realistic. On launch day (May 3, 2026) the Phase 1 MVP measurement batch went live in production and recorded a 20% mention rate (8/40 across 4 AIs × 10 keywords).
